With more than 25 years of experience across hospitality, business operations, and product development, Morgan Morano is a gelato chef, author, consultant, and educator who has spent much of her career specializing in artisan gelato. Her journey in gelato began in Italy, where she trained under Sicilian gelato chef Antonio Cafarelli, an experience that shaped her deep respect for traditional techniques, regional variation, and authentic Italian gelato.

As the founder of Morano Gelato—hailed by Forbes as "The Best Gelato in America" and named Best Gelato by Yankee Magazine—Morgan built and led the brand for close to a decade, growing it from a farmers market stand into a nationally recognized, multi-location business.
